Do you ever find yourself constantly worrying about the person God will send you? Do you ever find yourself looking at others of the opposite sex wondering, "Is that him/her God?", "They have some qualities I'm looking for and they are pretty attractive. Maybe that's them.", "They're godly. This really must be them. Maybe they'll pursue me.", "He/she isn't a Christian, but I can just take them to church. Then, perhaps after I change him/her a little bit, we'll be together."

Understand that whoever God has for you and whenever He decides to send you that person, that you won't have to go scoping out for them. You won't have to worry about missing out on your opportunity and you won't have to worry about placing your hand in the situation to try and control these plans.

When our thoughts are constantly preoccupied with something, we give in to worry. When we give in to worry, it is an indication that we have not placed our trust fully in God. Worry also prevents us from focusing on those things which are more important. If all your time and energy is being preoccupied worrying about when your Boaz will come, then there is a good chance that you won't be able to seek God wholeheartedly without divided attention.

Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek the kingdom of God above all else and these things shall be given to you."

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask that you help me to cast my worries on you. Help me to rest in you and help me trust in your perfect timing and your perfect plan. In Jesus name, Amen.

Rest in God's dwelling place!
